The Cabins at Lobo Landing | Little Rock, Arkansas Advertising Photographer

Earlier this spring, I was contacted to photograph a series of new photos for The Cabins at Lobo Landing, a premier trout fishing resort along the scenic Little Red River near Heber Springs, Arkansas. The resort recently came under new ownership and the owners wanted fresh and new photos of their cabins along with scenic photos along the river.

The resorts offers cabins in a variety of looks ranging from traditional to quaint and very rustic. Of all of the cabins I photographed, 8 and 9 were my favorites. Most cabins have a private deck with views of the river.

For the lighting, I used a combination of ambient, studio strobes and an Astra light panel. I previewed my images onto an iPad with my CamRanger. I love this little device.

I made four trips to the resort over the course of six weeks to photograph all the cabins. Since this is a popular fishing resort, and many of the cabins were consistently booked, it took several trips to get everything photographed including a very chilly morning out on the Little Red River capturing sunrise and various scenic shots.

Below are some of the cabin highlights.

Goodwill | Teresa: 2017 Achiever of the Year

When you donate items to your local Goodwill store, have you ever stopped and wondered what happens to those items?

I mean really stopped and thought about it?

To you, you're getting rid of clothing you no longer want, gently used kitchen pots and pans or perhaps furniture and household items. But to someone at Goodwill, those items can be life-changing.

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas does so much more for Arkansas than being a retail store. The items you donate that are sold in stores across the state and the proceeds go to fund programs that help members of the community.

One the those programs is the Transitional Employment Opportunities program, or TEO. This program helps people who have committed nonviolent crimes and have served their time to transition back into daily lives. The TEO program gives them hands-on job training, current employment status and helps them get back into a daily routine of living and being a contributing member of society.

The video is a testament to the lives changed because of Goodwill. Watch Teresa's story and you'll see why and know that everyone deserves a second chance. Goodwill gave her that second chance.

Along with BackFocus Productions and Kumpuris Communications, I was honored to work on this project. We would like to congratulate Teresa on her award.

So go out and donate to Goodwill Industries of Arkansas.

National Park Medical Center | Little Rock Arkansas Advertising Photographer

Last fall, I worked with the wonderful EXIT Marketing and National Park Medical Center located in Hot Springs, Arkansas on photographing a series of interiors for their new Heart and Vascular Center of Central Arkansas.

The Heart and Vascular Center of Central Arkansas is the largest, most comprehensive freestanding cardiac facility in the region, featuring among other things, more cath labs than any other heart center in the region. Hot Springs is located an hour's drive from Little Rock so having such an advanced heart facility is important for Hot Springs as well as the surrounding communities.

An extra big thanks goes to EXIT Marketing for asking me to be a part of this project.

I always try to have fun on my photo shoots...even when my assistant creeps around in the hallways adjusting the lights in between shots.
