Commercial Interiors | Project With Evo Business Environments | Delta Dental | Arkansas Commercial Photographer

Before the world ended with the big COVID-19 mess, I kicked off 2020 with two great projects for my friends at Evo Business Environments.

The first feature is their project for Delta Dental of Arkansas. The second is with RockDental Brands and that will be featured in another blog coming soon.

Delta Dental of Arkansas is a dental insurance provider for individuals, businesses as well as those on Medicaid programs with the focus that each person gets the right care for themselves and their families. My own dental insurance is with DDAR and I cannot be more pleased with the cost and benefits provided by DDAR….but I digress.

The Delta Dental of Arkansas headquarters are located in Sherwood, Arkansas and it’s five minutes from my house. I drive by it all the time. In September of 2018 they broke ground on a newly expanded headquarters which I photographed for them. Delta Dental is a client too — and awesome one at that.

The plan was to expand the current headquarters, move everyone in, vacate their current building for revamping and a complete renovation and redesign and then once everything was finished have a new, larger campus for all their employees. The renovations of the existing building is scheduled to be complete in late summer/early fall 2020.

Yet again, Evo continues to impress with their ideas, style and design. No two project I’ve photographed for them have been the same.

Rural Arkansas Health Partnership | Arkansas Commercial Photographer

Back in the fall, I worked with the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership for a series of photos for their 2018-2019 annual report.

The Arkansas Rural Health Partnership is a public nonprofit consisting of 14 rural hospital members spanning southeast Arkansas. The ARHP continues to expand, nurture and provide programs throughout the Partnership’s individual communities and the Arkansas Delta region which is a very economically challenged area.

A portion of the photos were designated for the report, but were also used for various marketing uses and needs such as their website.

I spent a blistering hot day in early fall driving around the Arkansas Delta photographing people, places and things that represented the focus of the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership and it’s mission.

Desserts! With 8 Broads in the Kitchen | Arkansas Food & Drink Photographer | Karen E. Segrave

Who doesn’t like desserts?

Seriously…Who out there does not like desserts?

The 8 Broads in the Kitchen do not like desserts, they LOVE them. And their latest cookbook is a testament to all things desserts!

I first met one of the Broads, Kristie Rosset, many years ago when she was the owner and innkeeper at Lookout Point Lakeside Inn in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Lookout is one of the finest Bed & Breakfasts in Arkansas. I had photographed at Lookout many times over the years for various reasons and clients. Sadly, Rosset has since sold Lookout and is now happily enjoying retirement and lots of time with her grandchildren.

Rosset called me in the spring of 2018 when the Broads were in the beginning stages of revamping their Desserts! cookbook. I could not wait to be a part of the project.

Most of the Broads flew to Arkansas and we photographed selected recipes at Rosset’s home over two days in the fall of 2018. I sampled just about everything I photographed and the chocolate crinkle cookies pictured above were my favorite.

In addition to photographing the desserts, the publisher requested photos of the Broads cooking together, laughing and loving life. These ladies are full of sweet and a little bit of sass!

Part of the project was not only to style and photograph selected recipes, but to also photograph the Broads as they cooked and laughed together…which they did. A LOT! The cookbook was published in fall of 2019. You can buy a copy here on Amazon.
