Editoral Work

Recent Portrait Work | Cranford Co. | Arkansas Commercial Photographer

The last two weeks have been a blur. I've been way behind on blogging due to two weeks of being completely booked. It's a good thing! But now that I have a few days to breathe, catch up and enjoy (maybe) a little computer time, it's back to blogging.

A few weeks ago, I photographed the Cranford Brothers; Jay, Ross and Chris who make up the creative team at Cranford Co. The photo was for a recent issue of Arkansas Business that featured long-standing, family businesses in Arkansas.

The Cranford bothers history in the advertising world runs deep. Their father started one of Arkansas leading advertising agencies in 1961. The trio have not yet moved into their new home located along the Main Street creative corridor. From what I saw during the photo shoot, it will be a very unique space.

I really enjoyed meeting and photographing the Cranford Brothers.

Recent Executive Portraits | Hugh McDonald | Arkansas Portrait Photographer

Last week I met up with and photographed Hugh McDonald, president and CEO of Entergy Arkansas Inc., for Arkansas Business.

According to the article, McDonald, said the company is in the middle of a planned $2.4 billion investment in capital improvements in generation, distribution and transmission projects, which began in 2014 and will run to 2017.

Those infrastructure projects include deploying improved technologies. McDonald pointed to new generators that are 30 percent more efficient than the older technology as an example of such innovations. The utility is also deploying more renewable energy, including a proposed 81-megawatt solar energy plant in Arkansas County.

Robinson Center Auditorium Renovation | Arkansas Commercial Photographer

This is not the Robinson anyone remembers.

For those of you who are reading this, you've probably visited Robinson Center Auditorium at some point in your life.

For me, my first visit to Robinson was back in 1997 for a concert to see Tori Amos.

For decades, Robinson hosted a wide variety of concerts and events ranging from the annual season of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra to Broadway Musicals. Downstairs in the Robinson Center Expo Hall hosted just as many events from monthly Rotary Meetings to Weddings Receptions.

Last week I had the opportunity to look inside and photograph the $68 million renovation of Robinson led by the design team of Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects of Little Rock and Ennead Architects of New York for Arkansas Business featuring a multi-photo, on-line slideshow.

Robinson is scheduled to reopen in fall 2016.
